Trinity seeks to be the friend and servant of all its neighbours in Leighton Buzzard and Linslade, and is grateful for the support that it receives in turn.

Housing developments

“Thousands of New Homes in Leighton-Linslade” were the headlines seen locally this year. The Leighton-Linslade Churches Together Town Development Group is generating an ecumenical response from the churches of the town to the various local housing initiatives. Trinity has representatives on this group.

At the heart of the group’s response is the idea that new developments cannot just be about building thousands of houses, but at the centre of any development there should be thriving and living communities that are more than `bricks and mortar'; places where mums and toddlers groups, youth organisations, old and young can meet; where there can be worshipping communities. The churches of the town want to be part of developing those communities.

The group has made a number of responses to the planning authorities including a submission to the draft South East Plan and to applications in Linslade for significant housing developments.
